About the Role:
We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within the Australian market, particularly focusing on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in technology sales, a strong understanding of the Australian business landscape, and a passion for helping clients achieve their goals through technology.
Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Prospecting:
Identify and qualify potential clients through various channels, including networking, cold calling, online research, and industry events.
Needs Analysis & Solution Development:
Understand client business challenges and requirements, tailoring Pacific Data's solutions to meet their specific needs.
Sales Presentations & Proposals:
Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals, showcasing the value proposition of our services.
Negotiation & Closing:
Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring profitable and sustainable business relationships.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring ongoing satisfaction.
Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence:
Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
Sales Pipeline Management:
Manage a robust sales pipeline, tracking progress and forecasting revenue.
Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, technical, and delivery teams, to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.
Reporting:
Provide regular updates on sales
activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
preferred.
Proven track record of success in business development or sales,
preferably in the technology sector.
Strong understanding of the Australian business market, particularly the SME segment.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Highly motivated, results-oriented, and self-starter.
Strong negotiation and closing skills.
Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
Knowledge of Data & AI, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, or other relevant technology areas is desirable.
